Hi from Belgium
Hi, new to this forum.
Since a few weeks I am the proud owner of a MY 2000 E46 320D Touring. Not my first Bimmer mind you, the sixth (seventh really if I include my motorbike (K1200RS).
At the moment I still drive my 96 318TDS Touring, so at the moment I own 3 Bimmers. (The E36 has to go and is for sale). But first, a M3 bumper has to come on, because I don't very much like the pre-facelift one.
Anyone else here from Belgium?
Anyway, greetings to all you bimmers fans all over the world.
If you drive one, you'll know why

Yep, of course it's a 320!!(have edited the message, BMW still has to invent the 2-series(lol).
Ok, I think that the 320D is not imported in the States, here it's called the 320D.
They all have a turbo and of course an inter cooler.
Common faults with these engines are turbo's and the injection pump. The latter has just been changed, so I bought the car in confidence.
She sits on 18" "M" style wheels and look real smart (to me anyway).
White blinkers all around are nice too.
Things I would like to chande, a "M style" bumper and when I can find one, a sports wheel with the round airbag.
Apart from that, the car is perfect for me.
Why a Diesel, and why a 2 litre? If you know about fuel prices and driving taxes here in Belgium, you'll understand. (And there are also those dreadful speed limits (and the fines that come with it).
Thank gawd, we travel to Germany from time to time...., so

Update
Haven't been here much , I know, but nevertheless been rather busy.
So, when two front-suspension arms, bought in Germany on eBay both broke (what are the odds?). Thankfully, I could avoid an accident (when the second one broke I was going rather fast), but obviously the sellers insurance company had to pay to replace some parts.
Both suspension arms (genuine BMW this time), both front fenders and also the front bumper. Of course, I paid a little extra, and put on a 'M' Tecnic front. The car looked a lot nicer that way as you can imagine.
But, beginning this year, I fetched a nice Z3 Roadster (2.0 litre, it had to be a six), that I exchanged only months later for a Z3 Coupe 2.8.
I wanted to sell the Touring, but the offers I got were ridiculous, so I still own it now. Not registered at the moment, since I purchased a small car to teach the (also new) misses to drive. When that is done, I will re-register the Touring, since it is such a nice car to drive.
