How to lock a folder?
Ok...First of all ,sorry -i 've been asking too much question in the geek sections.
Since i bring my laptop to college, it really annoying to see friends to see the my picture folder and laugh at the pictures. So is there any software , so they require a password when they try to opening the folder.
Yeah, there's something called FolderGuard that I've used before that worked pretty well... except I think it was about $20.
The firewall is blocking me from getting to it now, but hop on to downloads.com and browse around for folder lock, folder guard, folder password, and other keywords like that.

put the family pics to a few cd's perhaps? But I guess if you scratched the cd's you would also want them on your hard drive. for a start you could just hide the folder and see if they know how to show the folder again.
To do this: right click the folder and click on properties. At the bottom there should be 3 options for your folder, click the hidden box, then apply, then click ok.
To see the folder later go to tools/folder options, click on the view tab, then say show all hidden files or folders or whatever it says, then click apply, then click ok.
If what I said is incorrect someone please tell me, I am not a genius when it comes to computers.
