Any hardware geeks out there? Got a custom built machine? Mac mods welcome too Show off your rig
Here's mine. She was built around 2002-2003, so the hardware is ancient by today's standards It's got an AMD 2500+ Barton core on an Asus A7N8X / nForce2 mobo. Vantec Aeroflow heatsink w/ a 70mm TMD fan. Geil dual channel RAM, Raidmax blue anodized 400w power supply, Soundblaster Live!, Avermedia A/V capture, dual CCFL's (blue & green), yaddi yadda. I added the case window in our shop at work, and I cut the Athlon decal by hand.
The video card is a custom modded MSI/nVidia GF4 ti4200. I added an SK6 heatsink w/ a 70mm fan & heatsinks on the memory chips. She's also running the nVidia Coolbits software mod.
She's currently running XP Pro, but at one time she was a dual boot rig with Red Hat 9 installed. Not the fastest, but it was pretty quick back in the day . . saw a lot of nights playing Warcraft II, Quake III, CoD & MOH
