yeah, i wish i got a longer warrenty... mine is only for 1 year... already had to replace the keyboard... at least with dell it was very easy since they have great c. support.
Yep, one of the big secrets of buying a laptop- always get the extended warranty.
no doubt, dell didn't want to fix a recurring issue with a friends notebook and since he had the 3 year, no matter what plan he just threw it down the stairs. They repaired it, the did put an inspiron screen on his latitude but it worked well so he didn't complain.
