iPod Touch
 

Anyone have one? I'm considering it. I know it has a keyboard interface, but was wondering if you can actually compose and send web based email on them???

I've heard that you can. I have also heard that they are Wi-Fi capable. How true that is though, I don't know.

i was playing with one last night that my friend just got. i dunno about the email thing but it is def wifi capable i used that function. its cool and all but the whole time i just kept thinkin why not get the phone too

Wi-Fi is the iTouch internet connection.

i bet its the same as the interface on the iphone, and i used that hesitantly but it surprised me as very usable. i feel that i came from an era that still requires tactile feedback and i thought that would be the problem with it, but i can see with some getting used to, it can be nice to use.

i never really wanted an ipod, but the itouch has me wanting one. . .

I just got an iphone as a gift and I'm still in the process of activation but its a pretty cool device.

heh. Im an apple products man myself. I am friends with half the apple store near my house.

Cons-Does not have internet everywhere. No speaker for the ipod as the iphone does. Smaller and skinnier. does not have the email setup that the phone has.


Pros-cool ipod...but unless you have the interface in the car its a pain to use while driving compared to the classic ipod. (kind of a con.) Keyboard is conveient but since its even thinner then the phone it makes it harder to use, atleast for me.


IMHO if you gonna do it just get the phone. itouch is too small to use with wifi(if theres wifi there usually a comp near by to use. where as the phone can access the net anywhere(even if its slow) and that comes in handy. But only on wi fi it wouldnt be worth it.



BUT they are realasing them to third party developers in JAn to make new apps.

posting from my phone I have to say its a lot more user friendly then I imagined.

I have a 16 gb touch its pretty coo, really really long battery life and free internet in a lot of places, just wish they had like a 3o gig on cause i cant fit all my music and videos and such on it.

yeah, you don't get a lot for your money...
I'm still happy with my 30GB iPod, I don't need a touch
if I'd buy one, I'd wait until the technology has been improved
