Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare
 

I have always been a fan of the Call of Duty series. I just got finished playing the CoD4 demo and it was the worst demo i have ever player. . . because it was the shortest demo i have ever played!

My current favorite game is Battlefield 2, but CoD4 blows it outta the water. The demo was fantastically amazing! its a lot more realistic than other shooters including BF2 from the way you reload the weapon in different states (whether or not their is a round in the chamber) to being able to tag enemy combatants from behind concealment. even the night vision was much better than other games and features the infrared laser sight; a sight that can be seen with nvg's but not with the naked eye. i can go on forever. i need to get this game. halo? pssh.

A friend of mine played the demo the other day. I haven't played or bought any videogames in soo long. Doesn't help that my "good" comp has been out of action for at least 6 months now. Do you know if Half Life 2 episode 2 is out or coming out soon? That's the only game I would definetely buy, a lot of others I have gotten from friends and just played once, etc. I liked call of duty 2 a lot though.

Cels, what platform are you playing on? My PC doesn't handle some of the new games, but I still have the old PS2.........

^^^ i dont think they are doing a ps2 version. i tried it on my pc. had to boot to windows (boo). im running pretty much the min requirements:

Athlon 64 3200+
1GB RAM
nVidia GeForce 6600GT 256MB (but for the last 6 months, its only reported 128MB. . .:dunno)

even with all that, the game ran beautifully at 1440x900. yup, supports widescreen resolutions too.

Love COD 4. I can't wait for it to come out on the xbox 360. As for Halo 3, love it more than my wife j/k :). I can't wait for Mass Effect, Cod 4 and Assassins Creed this winter. It will be a great Chanukah for me since I will buy them for myself since my wife doesn't believe in my videogame obsession.

BTW, Bioshock is unbelievable also if you haven't played it.

COD4 is awesome to bad I suck at it though I played the xbox360 multiplayer beta and got killed 300 times in about 3 hours total playing time i thing :P

Bioshock is pretty cool its only big loosing point is the lack of a death penalty. Hell if you were really motivated or bored you could beat the entire game with the wrench. It would take a hell of a long time but its probably doable. Great game other wise though.

On the OT, I've heard nothing but complaints so far about Leopard, particularly how it's not playing well with Adobe apps, and how that won't be resolved for another month or two. WTF??

Anyhoo, I'm definitely gonna get COD4 :)

My bro has a computer repair and network shop. So far his testing is coming up with just a few bugs (VPN for one). Otherwise, it seems very nice.

Getting COD4 this week for the PS3...can't wait. Gonna look good on the HDTv. Woot.

witey, you have leopard yet? dudesky, my friend has it and he loves it. i havent heard any complaints yet, only praise really. but i guess it takes awhile to get around the hype. when i upgraded to the new version of ubuntu i had probs with different things but they worked out in a few days. the only problem i have left now is with vmware.

We just have it in the shop right now. Love, love it! :type
