Technique Tuning stage 1 turbo kit
Heres a link to the kits
http://www.techniquetuning.com/e36obd2turbo.htm
I've heard a lot of good things about this set up and the company. Sounds like a great starting point for those looking to turbo their cars. The only thing i would be concerned about is the CR and keeping it down so you can stay away from detonation. Maybe grab a good head gasket to be safe. Anyways thought i throw this one out there as an alternative for some of you to ponder over and get some ideas..they have a great ecu reflash in stead of the "black box" which know one knows what it does...and you can always upgrade and add parts to this kit and they will help you with tuning . Heres a link where they talk about their tuning philosophy.

AND ITS ONLY $6,800

i was actually just lookin at that today. i decided to give up on the kit with the black box and just save up for a quality kit. i may ask for that as a graduation present since my mom said i can pick one thing. and a kit (singular) is one thing lol.

this is a pretty good starting point. i mean itll make your car a kick in the butt load faster plus be pretty safe... from here you can only go up if you choose with bigger turbo better tuning etc etc etc

Agreed.
I'd need an m3 before I could look into anything like that though.

6800$ isnt that much money for what you are getting yourself into. THat is saving for some of you for 3 months loan the rest paid off within the year... (if you arent a full time student)

$6800 is not much for a well designed turbo kit but it is a lot of money to spend on a car that is worth $20g's at most and is not going to increase the value of the car one bit.

^^that is what separates car tuners/enthusiasts, from people that just like to drive nice cars... to me i dont care if a part makes my car worth another penny, its the satisfaction i will get driving it everyday! Something like a turbo can potentially make a car worth more also... (to the "right" buyer) haha

Meh, regardless, the Boost Logic manifold/GT35R/TECIII combo will annhilate any other reasonably sized setup. Unless you're pulling REDICULOUS boost, that setup is good for close to 700bhp, depending on how much boost you want.

^^^^^ for that much bhp you'd ahve to look into some major headwork just to be able to sustain that though..... just a thought that it looked like y'all forgot about....
