yeah i believe you can do that with the 88 325e bottom end (super eta) just to get some higher revs and more horsepower. but not sure about 87 325, should read up on it.

To stroke an engine:
Boring out the cylinders to allow more amount of air and fuel in. An easy way to explain it would just be taking a 2.5L engine and "stroking" it to 2.9L, or even 3.0L. This can be achieved by changing out connecting rods and the crankshaft for a longer throw, or actually boring out the cylinders to allow more inbetween, or both.

A bit off topic, but since you'll check this thread quickly and are online right now, when would you like to do an SS install? I brought those ramps back to Athens with me. (they're in the back of my car right now)

Yeah, but he has the lighting, tools, space (i live in a dorm, remember?), and he just did his last week with the same short shifter (I felt generous and bought him one), so the install is fresh in his mind, haha. It shouldn't take too long.

Maybe if you actually CHECKED your PMs, you would have had it installed by now. If you want to, I really have nothing to do tomorrow, so we can install it then.
