I run a K&N57i induction kit on a 99 M3 Evo (E36) it makes a fantastic noise and seems to help the engine rev more freely

quick question about the dinan intake, it says at dinancars.com that you should have the stage 2 chip or stage 3 whichever it is, ive been told they arn't needed and input on the gains or getting the chip to match up with it?
