a supercharger, however, will put out far more than it draws at the peak. I'd rather have my power when I want it and not be entirely efficient than have to constantly worry about keeping my car on-boost while i'm driving.

Mazda FD is the perfect example.

or one huge turbo that just kicks you in the ass works.. haha, no it all depends on what the car will be used for.. for drag its a completely different setup than autox... that is why i was happy with my vf34 i put on my WRX, best of both worlds... but would eventaully stop making power... getting 300whp out of her was easy enough and she could see 350-400 but not from me!

i love people who rag on turbo lag. a properly set up car will not have turbo lag. turbo lag is something that was a problem in the 80s, not so much now.

however, SC > turbo on the track.

It really depends. You want a turbo to stay spooled when you shift. Every gear you hit goes right into the turbo's powerband. All those 900rwhp supras are all single turbo setups

as strange as it may sound, the single system turbos are pushing out more power than the twin turbo systems on the bmws.

Sounds perfectly normal to me.
