Injector size
Hello there. I have a 92 325i that i was going to turbo. I am building my own kit. I already have a t3/t4 hybrid turbo with a 8psi wastegate setting. From everything i can tell, this if tuned right could make about 300hp But my question is what size injectors should i use? 26lb? 30lb? 36lb?
As well does anyone know of a website that sell turbo manifolds for the M50 with an external wastegate pung?

Injector size depends on how much power you want to create. On a 2.5L with ~8psi of boost, I'd stick with 24lb/hr injectors. If you want more boost than that, then you'll have to go larger on the injectors. I don't like putting too big of an injector in, because then idle quality may begin to suffer.

figure this, I've got 38s on my supercharged 3.8L, and that's with about 13LBS of boost from the factory!
don't go too big because when they cycle in a non-boost environment they'll spew rather than spray at lower fuel rail pressures.
what duty cycle are you planning on having the injectors spray at when you're at full boost? hopefully no more than 80%!
I'd go with the same with your turbo conversion for 300 hp at about 45 lbs rail pressure.
bigger injectors for turbos than S/Cs btw.
