drove the new 330
So I drove the 2006 330 6speed manual the other day.. Im not sure if it had the sport package or not. Its a very awesome car overall but it didnt quite do it for me.. I guess I just want something more sporty and faster. Like the Z4.. I drove in that to the dealer.. It was the 3.0 SMG. VERY quick. I absolutley fell in love with it.. Especially driving with the top down! Its my friends and he had a few things done to it, like clear tail lights and exhaust and a few other mods. Oh and the girls just love it!

Dude, it didn't "quite do it for you" ? You drive a m20 powered 5 series for Gods sake... a Civic should do it for you...
I am having a hard time believing that the most wanted car of 2006 isn't good enough for you.

Meh, the newer BMW's get the less sporty and more luxurious. That's why the E36 will always be known as the sportiest and the most, "enthusiasts" car. It started with the E46, they got real heavy so they're slow, and they are a lot boxier so they can't handle as well. Just getting worse with the E90...

Yeah BMW cars have virtually NO personality left in the design and style....
The lasts of the good classical BMWs were left behind in the bodies of the E36, E39, and E38 mid 90's BMW.
The New BMWs are awesome looking but really these cars have absolutey NO personality...
I mean my E36 can sit in my driveway and I can look at it for hours (or the E39 and E38)...but I really don't think I would ever do that if I had an E90 or E65 in my driveway...

I don't care if everyone thinks they have less personality, a 330 would be an amazing car to own.

for the 99% of americans that aren't hardcorer enthusiasts like us, the new BMW's freaking own. most americans look at the E36 and think... its and old BMW whats so special but look at the new Bimmers and go WOAH!!!! thats why the E46 was the best selling car of its time. and no personality?! everyone on UB shits their pants any time teh new M5 is mentioned.....

I don't like the new e90s either. We got a transport with 4 cars....an e90 330i, an e46 330Ci, X5 4.8, and an e60 525xi. I loved the e46 better than the e90, and the X5 4.8 better than the e60. I think the e90 was the ugliest car in the transport. Anywho.

Okay The new E90 looks like a 2006 NISSAN ALTIMA from the front and a MAZDA 3 from the side....And the lights are too much like the TOYOTA CAMRY's...pics coming

The E36 is a less sporty and heavier E30. The E30 is a less sporty and heavier E21. The E21 is a less sporty and heavier '02.
I very much doubt enthusiasts would pick the E36 given all of the 3-series models.

my neighbor has a new E90 325, I love it. I don't think that it doesn't hae a personality, its just that the newer BMW's have a DIFFERENT Personality. and whether YOU like it or not, the E60 the E90 and the new 7's are sellling like wildfire, so they must have done something right...

i would, i would take an E36 any day. or a nice E30 like yours man (exept not a 4cyl). The E36 is a nice car, handles well looks great. The E46 is pretty nice to. The E90's are to new for my full appreciation yet, but in time il love em as much as an E46, but i still choose the E36 over anything, followed closly by the E30

Hey Chill on the 4Cyl E30, i love it, sure a 325is might be faster, but the 318is is still a ton of fun to drive, afterall it is still the ultamate driving machine. My vote is with the e30 lookswise but thats a given, i also did really like the looks of the e46 especially the m3. I'm not crazy about the looks of the e90, but i want to see it in coupe form, but i have no doubt that it would still be a very nice car to drive, everything I have read about it says it can still handle.
