Automatic Door Lock.....?
newbie needs help:
i went through the owners manual and noticed that my e90 (possibly) has the auto-lock function. this option locks the doors after the car is moving.
but when i go through the procedures as noted i can't seem to get to this option on the scroll screen to activate it.
is/was this an option (convenience option) that may not be included or am i doing something wrong?

If the car is warrantied still you can take it to the dealer. THey will program the car for it.

actually no warranty needed it was more of a convenience thing. but my e90 is one of the earlier ones that does not have that option on the stalk (oh well).
but i have to take it back because during this 'upgrade' he turned off my DLR's...

I think this option is such a default value for common.
When you reach the speed around 18-20 km/h the door will lock automaticcally.

yeah, the option was turned off and i wanted it on. i had the option on my last car but unlike the VW the bimmer doesn't let you open the door with one pull to get out after you stop. not good so i decided against this set-up.

Hi there, you only get the lock option if the ignition is on or car is running.
If not you can only adjust brightness e.t.c.
Foxed me for a while.....

Yep, there is a vehicle program sheet that is required of customer preferences. Takes some time to program all those into the vehicle's memory.
