whats up w/ these wheels!?
Hey guys, I just got back from a month in Canada so my m3 sat for a month . Anyway, here are a few pics of an e46 m3 the dealership took in on trade with really messed up wheels. The only thing I can think of that happened to them was that acid was sprayed on there to clean the wheels by the previous owner and never taken off. Have any of you seen this before?
If you look close, I wiped the brake dust off and the black is still left underneath...

Brake dust that was never cleaned off. My brothers car has little spots where the dust is permanently ground into the alloy from prolonged periods of the wheels not being taken care of. (by no means harry's fault, they've been there since i've known harry, probably from first owner.)

You have three choices, stand behind our troops, grab a gun and toe the line with our troops, or stand in front of them, they can use the extra armor.
Yea, they used the wrong wheel cleaner on them. They used an aluminum wheel cleaner that had a high content of acid. (Not for a polished/clear coat wheel) And then didn't get it all off and brake dust just added to the mess. Seen it a bunch of times. It would be easier to have them acid dipped & redone.
