Cold start bug

Ok, only complain I have on the car is that on cold start it takes the engine a while to turn over.
Had battery tested and it's fine.
Used some pretty good injector cleaners (but not pressurized ones)

Any ideas? :dunno Next step for me would be spark plugs...

mullethunter3 07-24-2006 09:02 PM

maybe it's your 328 haunting you for selling her...

Dudesky 07-24-2006 09:05 PM

Fuel filter?

c1apton 07-24-2006 09:47 PM

Rooz - save yourself a ton of headaches - change ALL the filters, fluids and normal maintenance items - this way you have a clean slate to start with. If you don't it WILL haunt you. :deal This is where most folks get burned. You buy a previously owned car, you start planning all the mods - ASSUMING the last owner followed regular maintenance - then the little crap just "pisses up" all good intentions.

Take it back to the dealer.

We'll fix it. :p

He bought it at auction

Spieluhr 07-25-2006 03:32 AM

try spark plugs, then fuel filter.

Rooz 07-25-2006 09:58 AM

Gonna see how the injector cleaner does, next step will be to check Spark plugs, then if still no change, I'll do a pressurized Fuel system cleaning and change filter.

Well, did the plus, seems to be the solution, real test will be tomorrow night if the car starts when am heading back from work (crosses fingers )

Doesn't matter where he bought it. He owns a BMW. BMW dealerships...can fix anything! :rolleyes

Annnnd.....boo ya.

He took it to the dealership. :p

xsperf 08-20-2006 06:25 PM

well you said "take it back to the dealer" ... doesnt matter, but either way,(this is to you, BMWLotAttendant) can somone CPO his car if he bought it from somewhere and the factory warranty expired?

:doh Ok, you got me. You knew what I meant though. :rolleyes

Yeah, why wouldn't they be able to do so? I'm trying to think of the reasons why not. I mean, the dealership wins, BMW Group wins...and the customer wins. I'll definately ask tommorow. :D

Plus, it's cheap....it's like $1,200 to CPO it up.

c1apton 08-21-2006 05:12 AM

But any customer off the street can't buy a BMW and take it to a dealer to have it CPO'd. CPO is for dealers only so it qualifies for extended warranty programs. :deal
