DEPO vs OEM

Okay I am looking into upgrading the 330 to have DDE, the only thing is I dont want to loose the amount of light I get with the OEM Xenons. Will the DEPO Porjector Lights with 5000K HID, be as bright or brighter than the OEM Xenons?

why don't you keep you oem headlights/xenons and just add the dde to them, what would be the reason to get the depos????

Chris, if I were you, (I am not sure ohow e46 changes from e36 in lights) buif I get dde's I would use the parking lights for their source of energy, that way, it would not change the power of your xenon's

How can I add DDE to my stock headlights, wasnt aware that was possible

Just take the plastic piece off and slide the new rings in. Granted it's the simplied version but yeah, you get to keep OEM lights with some rings.

are you guys sure this is possible? i know for a fact that the OEM e36 plastic headlight covers can NOT come off unless you bake them and mess up all the seals.

To be honest with you chris, go with the new projectors. just with projectors alone your increased light will be incredible! And since it is a glass headlights cover it won't wear and look as shitty as easily, plus if it break you can easily replace just the cover.

another possibility is that your stock xenon can transfer over to your new projectors. i would take a lot of time to research this, im sure someone has tried, but it seems silly to buy new xenon for your new lights when you already had it.

hope this helped.

PS: adding DDE to headlights when its not already installed for you is tough i hear. the rings are VERY fragile.

Hehe, though we learned a lot about DDE and HID headlights from that evening. :cheers

E46's lights are easy to take apart. The only ones you have to bake would be the new facelifted coupes.
