New Tires
I just got back from the garage after having my new tires mounted and balanced and I'd forgotten how quiet the car was with regular tires on it instead of snow tires.
|
I never got around to getting snow tires, so I rode with summer tires all winter :lol
|
Mine came with snow tires 195's. It was a bit noisy, used them all summer (got her in the spring). Used them so much the tread wore down VERY THIN. I think I posted that here a while back....

I went with the Sumitomo HTR 200's...all the reviews I'd read on them were good.
So far I'm very happy with the ride and handling they're giving. I'll have to put a few more miles on and report back. |
Kumho ECSTA 711's . . the cheap stuff, but I'm going on a year with them now with no complaints whatsoever. Slightly noisy coming to a stop, but I've never squealed or screeched them even on the hardest turns.

"Yokohoma -momas" Avid T4s here.
|
I'm using Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Positions..
Gotta love them, you'll lose some comfort but damn do those thing just stick like glue, even in rain, the grip just goes on and on and on lol |
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
|
Michelin MX's... lol.

Starting to look for tires for my e46, and I checked Tire Rack. The Kumho tires are rated very close to the Yokohama Advans in most catagories. Big price difference too.
Many brands are getting closer to each other in terms of performance, reliability. |
Thread on pg2 titled "performance tire test" has some good comparisons, facts, and prices. I was surprised at some of the rankings.

235 Toyo Proxies. They rock hard.
