I want to upgrade my eng. software, any suggestions on which one works the best. I might do cai and exhaust at same time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone

Shark Injector (Comforti software), Powerchips, Active Autowerks, and umm, Dinan. There are other's I'm sure. I was incontact with Powerchips about a year ago. The rep told me that he'd give me a 10% discount if I were a member of an online forum. Powerchips' "gains" were the most I think out of all of the ones I listed. Only thing is, it's not so simple to install. Unlike the shark injector, you would have to recieve the software and install it (i wasn't too clear if it was through a laptop install with a hookup to the DLC(sp?) or if it was mailed in to them).

The Shark injector is much more easier from my understanding. You just need a battery charger while it does it's magic so your battery stays at a constant charge during the install. The stock programing is saved inside the injector unit and should you ever have to revert back to it, you can.

Injector: Turner Motorsport
PowerChip

Those were just my two debates that I had with myself. Either way, I coudn't afford them, so.. hence, I have no real experience with thier actual claims.

thanks, dont happen to know if the bavarian autosport programer is the same as the shark injector? they look the same except for color and the dyno charts are the same, but the bav auto is a little cheaper.

Bavauto is their own homemade chip I believe.

I personally have a Conforti Shark injector on my 328 and Dinan software on my M.

If I had to recommend one, my vote would go to Conforti (distributed by TMS now a days I believe).

TMS is your best bet for the chip.

Im thinking that too, shark injector is best bet.
How about ideas for exhaust? Think it would be bad if i just removed the muffler, put in some extensions and hung a couple of supertrapps back there?

i dont know what a supertrapp is but it doesnt sound like a good idea. the best best for performance and sound is an aftermarket system from someone like UUC, Active Autowerke, Dinan, Supersprint, Stromung, Remus, Borla, etc.
