Rubber Diaphragm ?????

Hi there, I'm new to this group. Just bought a 2001 325i, and in the glove box was a Rubber Diaphragm, abought 4" in Dia x 2" deep( like a half circle). Looks like a cap that coould go over the steering resevoir. Has a part # 1 300 591 244 but no BMW sign. Any ideas

Probably something the previous owner left behind. It's not part of your car, BMW part numbers start with a 2 digit prefix.
