Someone Paleeeease turn that light off....

Changed my (front grabbers) brakes and the sensor wire, now if i could only get that damn 'Brake Wear Indicator' light to extinguish on my instrument cluster.......Does this thing just go away or do i need to run by the dealership/Advance Auto to have it put out??????????

no it doesn't need to be done by a dealer as long as the sensor is ok. you may have to replace both. i did even though one didn't look worn at all

Just keep the key on KL15 for 15 seconds and the light will go out.

Did my rear brakes last October-ish. Brake light went out after the install and the single pad sensor was installed on the passenger side caliper. Turned on the power, waited like 15-30secs. Just power, no running engine. It came on at first, but as the computer went through it's check list, the light went out. Didn't need to reset any codes. If your still having a problem, you may want to consider checking to make sure that the sensor is attached correctly. If it's loose, wouldn't it still be considered broken...?

But I just realised that this thread is a few weeks old... so... did you fix it?
