BMW radio not working 325i 2004 . The radio does display clock, but all it reads.. the cd motor ejects cd and thats it....

The fact that the clock works but the radio and CD functions do not activate suggests that the problem is inside the radio, and I fear that repair is unlikely.
If the display looked normal but you had no sound, I would suspect the amp in the left rear corner of the trunk. I would make sure that you have power to the amp on the heavy RT/GN wire. Should be fuse fuse #41, 30 Amp in your fuse box. However, I don't think a dead amp would affect the radio display. A problem in the antenna amp might affect radio function because that has two-way communication, but the CD should still work. If the radio display looked normal, another suspect would be the volume control in your steering wheel. I think I have seen posts on the web about those. All this was of no help to you - sorry. |
