governor on the 01 330ci??
ok so my mom was talking to some guy with an infiniti the other day while we were at the shop, and he was saying what a great car is was yatyata..and basically he was putting down the 330. well he then went on to say that he took his up to 130mph or something. so my mom told him that my dad and her took the 330 past 155. After the guy left i asked my mom about it. She said that two days earlier, when they went to sacramento, my dad took the car up all the way to 155, and that the speedo went past the 155 mark by a little. Is this bullshit? I mean cant he car do it? I know my dad will, cause we have gone that fast and faster numerous times...but im not sure if the car is governed. I took it to 132...and i just didnt push it anymore thinkinhg there was a governor....what u guys think?
BTW the guy with the infiniti shut up after my mom told him that.

No doubt it can do it, E36's can hit 150+ with a chip change. I don't know about the governor tho.

330ci performance packages are 155, and other 330's are 128-ish... that's what I've been told.

my 323Ci is governed at 136 - the maximum that the OEM tires are rated to.

Same here but I found that out the hard way.
I hit 136 and it kicked out of gear makig it completely redline. It scared the shit outta me b/c I thought I blew the engine.
