E46General discussion and technical help for 1999-2004 3 series cars.
I really like the way that the stock wheels for the e39 M5 look. However, I have read in Bimmer magazine that e39 wheels will fit only e39s. I was wondering if anyone knew of a manufacturer that makes e39 M5 wheels that will fit an e46 coupe.
Replicas can be made for any car to look like another. M5 wheels might not fit on a 3 series for example, but wheels can be made for the 3 series that look like M5 wheels (replicas).

I asked today. The tech said that they actually tried it once. It ended up being the M5 wheels...the lug nut holes...were too big for the e46ers.
Yeah, aftermarket ones are your best bet.

I believe you can fit certon 20 or 22's on E46's. Ive seen some larger rims on M3's before but I cant remember if they were 20's or 22. Also I have no clue if they did anything to accomodate the size difference.
