M5 Wheels?
I really like the way that the stock wheels for the e39 M5 look. However, I have read in Bimmer magazine that e39 wheels will fit only e39s. I was wondering if anyone knew of a manufacturer that makes e39 M5 wheels that will fit an e46 coupe.

I've seen replica' m5 wheels for the e36s on ebay... that would be pure sex on an e46 :P

Say what?!?!?
No silly.....M3 wheels are for e36s/e46s. 5ers have 5er wheels, and 7ers have 7er wheels. |
i know, but i've already seen an e46 323Ci with the M3 wheels. I really like the M5 wheels, but I guess there's no way to fit them to my car.

I'll ask tommorow, they'll think I'm stupid...but thats ok. I get it all the time. |
Replicas can be made for any car to look like another. M5 wheels might not fit on a 3 series for example, but wheels can be made for the 3 series that look like M5 wheels (replicas).

Yesterday we had a 328i E46 come into with with 17in m5 rims. ofcourse they were after market. They didnt have the same finish but they were silver.

I asked today. The tech said that they actually tried it once. It ended up being the M5 wheels...the lug nut holes...were too big for the e46ers. :doh
Yeah, aftermarket ones are your best bet. :thumbup |
i saw a silver E36 325 with what looked like 19" 5-series rims, looked pretty sick

i think that if you fit 19's, then rolling the fenders is advised. thanks for all the help everyone.

The E46 M3 can have 19" stock.

I believe you can fit certon 20 or 22's on E46's. Ive seen some larger rims on M3's before but I cant remember if they were 20's or 22. Also I have no clue if they did anything to accomodate the size difference.
