Loud bang, what was it?
I was sitting at a stop light yesterday and when the light turned green, I started to go and i heard a loud bang. It was so loud that I though I got rear ended. It wasn't a sound like the engine backfiring but it sounded like it came from under me as if something slipped when the power went to the rear wheels. Anyone have any idea what it might have been. I have a 2000 323 ci / manual tranny if that helps.
Thanks in advance for any input.

I'm thinking it might be the throttle body b/c it happened to my buddies 7 series but his is an auto and it only happened to him around 85mph.....so I'm still puzzled.
