Ahh the perks of the edit button But seriously, that must be very frustrating. I mean, the whole headliner no doubt must be replaced. That's gotta come outa her pocket. Oh and IMO it's really rude to smoke in a borrowed car

It is actually a separate piece so the whole headliner doesn't have to be replaced. Lucky for her...otherwise that would cost a pretty penny. And I agree, it is very rude to smoke in a borrowed car that is not normally smoked in...cigarettes anyway.

well would you make somone pay half under the same circumstances? i would make her pay all. but it does help to explain before hand that you dont want her smoking in ur car. OR just do the same thing to her SLK

I hear that. I mean, I kinda figured she had to know that. SO that seems fair to me

Unless you want to take it to BMW, you don't really have it, their are some great upholsterry (Spelling?) places that you could take it to. This guy that does that kidna stuff for my dad is really great and I mean he's pretty cheap too... Might want to look into it.

Thanks anyway but she is paying, so I am taking it to BMW. Maybe she'll learn a lesson. My dad owns a body shop so he is ordering the part at a discount but I am bringing it to the stealer to have it installed.

Very true, some people just have to learn the hard way, and I personally think it was very disrespectfull of her to smoke in a borrowed car, even if it's your brother's car.

You should make her clean your car on a weekly routine for a month of or so

I would only make her pay for half. It was you who asked to borrow her car, it's not like she asked to borrow your car, and then smoked in it. She was used to smoking in her own car, and that was a priveledge that was taken away after she was nice enough to give you her car.
