Engine shakes a car on power off, possible DDE issues ??
Hello, I am driving E46 from 2001 3.20d 100KW engine, 240.000 KM on the counter.. Since it is winter time each morning when i am turning engine on i can see gray/whit smoke from exhaust, but this is only during the first startup, after that there is no smoke at all. Second each time i turn engine off car shakes entirely.. and when engine is idling on working temperature, entire car is bit too noise inside.. like vibrations and so on... wondering if it is working on 3 cylinders out of 4... and how can i check this... Other thing is from time to time I can see DDE light going on... but after couple of startups it is gone.. went in bmw service to check this.. they said nothing is wrong with it... they just cleared the errors. Now I don't want to go back to that service since they are ripping me off and the car is bit old to take it in the service... Any help on this issue I would appropriate it.. Couple of things to add.. I didn't notice any difference on engine power when dde is on... and fuel consumption is unchanged ... Thank you in advance for any tips on this. |
