2000 w 330d cutting out when accelerating
Hi all my names simon and have just become the proud owner of a nice looking w reg 2000 e46 330d se i bought it from auction yesterday but i think ive been done as the car wont accelerate when driving if you rev it with the car stationary it will rev flat out no problem and engine sounds beautiful and quiet doesnt run lumpy or anything at all but when you drive off and try to put your foot down it completely shuts off and engine cuts out totally just leaving ignition lights on and you coasting there is no managment lights on the dash or anything if you just bearly touch the throttle it will drive but any attempt to put you foot down results in complete engine cut out can anyone help me  Last edited by simonb32; 07-28-2010 at 02:05 AM.. |

Fault code p1190 rail pressure control
My friend plugged my 330d in to his snap on machine this morning and its showing the fault code P1190 RAIL PRESSURE CONTROL anyone got any ideas how i can sort this as car is barley drivable you cant really put your foot down in it as it totally cuts out |

Means you have a problem in your fuel system, if the car is having a running issue it sounds like you low fuel pressure, could be a clogging filter, dying pump or a leak (internal or external if you see a puddle). Could be a sensor failing as well but you shouldn't have the dying out if it was JUST a sensor.
