A/C blower failed - now car wont start (e46 2003 325)
My blower failed on the A/C yesterday. No air at all came out. I changed the fuse and it now works once I turn n the ignition but the car will not start. I can hear the starter but the engine is not firing. I checked all the other fuses but they are all good. Could the a/c being on while the fan wasn't working have clotted something to stop the car turning?
Some other info - When I turn the key to try to start - the temp gauge goes into the red and the red light stays on - this stays on and the gauge stays in the red when I stop trying to crank - is this usual? Is the temp sensor easily accessible to check? I got the radiator replaced a couple of weeks ago. If the temp gauge was at fault would this prevent engine from working? I have also had a suggestion that it could be the fuel pump relay (as it's located beside the A/C relay.) Can anyone tell me where the relay is located in a 2003 325? Thanks in advance |
