E46General discussion and technical help for 1999-2004 3 series cars.
Had radiator replaced last week at local shop (bought new one from Bavarian Auto online). When I got it back low coolant light was on an they could not get it to go off. Some say sensor is bad, but it was fine before the radiator change out. Any way to reset it. Car is 2001 330i.

make sure your coolant level is correct and not low of course if it is it may be your coolant level sensor or even the thermostat which you should of probably replced along with the hoses and radiator.

I doubt that the sensor could have suddenly gone bad, I think it's just something amiss with from being manipulated, they can be a bit touchy the older they get. Try removing the contact, inspect, clean (sand paper, emery board), and reinsert firmly and properly. I don't think it's imperative to have changed the thermostat and the hoses, but certainly make regular inspection of the hoses as they're approaching nine years of age.
changing the hoses when replacing a radiator is a no brainer same goes for the thermostat unless you are doing things halfass.
Hey User1 don't be an A hole. It was done half cash not half ass! There is a recession on in case you have not heard! It was more important kids have lunch money than replace something that was not broken
