318i Update- Caught Fire.. Help pls!!!!

Hey guys
my sister just bought a 318i exec update
basically she has had it for a month and its had a flat battery twice, and is burning oil
literally. I jump started it for her today, let the car run for about 30 seconds and the smoke started pouring out from the vacinity of the exhaust manifold, smelt like oil/plastic and there was a lot of smoke, i doused out the 'fire' and then called the dealership that we bought it from

anyone heard of any other 318i's doing this?
I know bmw are pretty prone to under dash fires but not engine bay!

could be a leaky valve cover gasket dripping on the exhaust manifold

thought of that but the car was only running for a matter of seconds...wouldnt have had enough time to warm up the exh manifold i wouldnt think
