Damaged Bleed Screw

If my bleed screw is damaged would it really affect my coolant in the system?

If you broke off the head then yes it needs to be replaced. If you striped out the philips slots but it holds pressure then you can run with it. They do only cost 1$ and you could avoid a problem down the road.

Let the car run outside for 1/2 hour and see if it holds pressure. If it does take it out and beat on the car some, make sure that thing holds pressure.
