this should be a recall

ok well last week the car broke down on me the crankcase vent valve got stuck due to the cold

the shop said this was the 5th or 6th they've done since the start of the year

and knew of a dealership in WI a couple of years ago that had to replace the part in nearly every car on their lot

they even have a service bulletin on the issue noting that this issue effects the E39 5 series
E46 3 series
E53 x5
E60 5 series
E83 x3
E85 z4 with m54 only

this has been an issue since 95 and they are still making cars with this faulty part/parts


if this may cars have this issue I really think this should be a recall and think that we should petition bmw for this issue for affecting us folks living in the north and having us pay the bill for their error in build quality.

I know this is just my 2 cents on the matter and having to pay to fix an issue that should have never been to begin with
