can anyone help have tried to reset my airbag light and it keeps failing to reset.
no fault code are in the system
i am wondering if one off my pre tensioners is knackered but how cam i check this.

Im assuming you're using an airbag scan/reset tool? With no fault codes there shouldn't be an airbag light on (obviously). However, I had a similar problem while trying to reset my airbag light. I assumed the airbag scan tool worked like my engine scan tool - meaning the ignition needed to be in the ON position. After trying repeatedly to reset my airbag light this way (to no avail) I decided to try with the ignition in the ACC position and presto - worked as advertised, no more light. Hope this helps!
