help with a 330xi
Hello all
First I like to say thanks for a great forum.
I am now looking at a e46, 2003 330xi Touring.
How is the engine on that model? Good?
Last for lots of milage?
What kind of mpg can I get? Did hear about 20-22 mpg. Is that right?
Is there some things I need to lookk out for, when buying it?
All help is good.
Thanks
Best regards
Vegard

The e46 (that's the BMW model name for a 3-series that year) 330i engine is very powerful and an overall nice engine. I haven't driven one personally but my brother once drove one, and it's a really good engine. Lightyears ahead of the 320i. And it will last long if you maintain it properly. The Touring is generally a good choice already, as it's sporty and can load a lot. The X-Drive is my favorite AWD system...
Are you planning on keeping your 850ci?

Thats a good engine, I have spent a decent amount of time in a 330ci and it is strong. I believe that with good maintenance it will last for quite some time. I'm guessing your probably pretty close on the mpg that you can expect.

hi...lol where in Switzerland are you? I live near the German/Swiss border and go to school near Stein am Rhein
the x-Drive is like no other AWD system
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/XDrive
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_xDrive
the article is wrong, btw... the first x-Drive cars were introduced in the E30 series (my car's series)
EDIT: don't forget to check out the websites quoted at the bottom of either wikipedia article
