R/T button is not working
Hi everyone,
Last December I bought 330xi 2004. It's my first BMW and it’s really fun to drive. But I observe that R/T button on my steering which used to switch between radio and CD it doesn’t work anymore. Before it was working now it doesn’t toggle between radio and CD.
Can anyone tell me what’s wrong and how can I fix it? Thanks

The R/T button is used to answer/call with your bluetooth phone, if you have the bluetooth module. I haven't heard of being used to toggle between audio sources. The R is for radio and the T is for telephone. If it was working I'd like to know how it worked as a toggle for you, because mine has never worked and I'd like for it to mute my audio.

...?
I'm glad I found this site. I just bought a 2004 325ci. The owners manual says that you can switch from radio to cd with the R/T button. I thought mine was messed up since it only would switch to the phone book option. Hmm, maybe the manual was wrong?? Did you say that your R/T button "use" to switch from radio to cd?

R/T Button
I tried mine today (2004 325i) and the button only switches from the radio to phonebook so am assuming it only works for the phone. I do not have the bluetooth module installed. Not ready to pay $1000 for bluetooth.
