little trouble with the e46
my brother has an e46 xi, and that means two things, other than the obvious all wheel drive, xi parts are much, much harder to find than normal i parts, they are not compatible with each other well he needs a few things, he needs the front left CV joint, which i cant find anywhere(i didnt check the dealer, though) its not making the clicking noise or anything, however the boot is cracked and it is spraying grease all over the underside of the car, bav auto and a few other places sell only the boot, is that ok? he also needs a right ball joint, and as i remember when vik(member w/an e46) was doing it on his car right around the time i did it on my car, you have to buy the whole control arm, no problem(kinda expensive though, compared to the e36 control arm).. anyone have a DIY for that or is it just the same as the e36? thanks in advance and sorry for the long post
