Rough Cold Start ???

here's one for you.... everyday when i start my 04' 325i for the first time (cold engine) the car starts rough but every time i start it there after it starts and run smooth. it's summer so it's warm out.... now , im guilty of putting low octane in her, could that be the reason ? It runs way too smooth to need a tune up. hmmm

here's my update.... i filled her up with premium friday night and half the neighborhood came over saturday to see if the car would cold start rough. so i cranked her up and woosh...purrrrrrrrrrrrr she started smooth and quiet..... ok, im a cheap bastard but now i will put nothing but premium in my baby.... lesson learned....

There is a reason bmw says to put premium in them.

yea, our 330 would have slightly erratic idle with 87...i put 92/91 in her and she idles perfectly.
