16 to stock m3 18s??
I got an advice changing my rims.
I have 03 325i with stock 16s(205/45/16) both on front and rear.
here is a question.
I just bought m3 stock 18 inch rims.
it comes with 225/45/18 front and 255/40/18 rear.
I am not sure about offset.
will those rims fit on my car?
I heard someone said I wouldn't have problems on fornt.
but the rear would be a problem.
is there any way that I can use these rear rims?
I would like to keep those tires that came with the rims since those are like new condition.
well, If I can keep those rims, needless to say, I will change tires.
I am not sure, so I couldn't even try yet.
my car only has premium package. not sports.
Got some advice for you. The front ones will fit fine, but the back ones are going to stick out a little so there is the risk that your rear tire will rub with the fender. There are number of ways to keep the tire from rubbing;
1. You rent a fender roller and roll your fenders which usually gives you about a 1/4 " clearance ($60 - $500)
2. You can buy some coil over springs to stiffen up your suspension so the wheel won't rub ($500 - $1000)
3. You can buy some spring spacers at Pep Boys to lift and stiffen up your suspension. They are like thick screws that tap into the gaps in the springs and give you from 3/4" to 1 1/4" lift. This is what I did for mine and its been working great ($10 for set of 4)
I hope that this helps, if you need more help feel free to send me a private message. Good Luck!
I have seen your post about that pep boys spring spacers!!
so my problem would be outer fender rubbing....got it!!!
I would go with #3!!
Thanks alot!! dude!~~
^Roll the fenders.
