Arrrrrrrrrrggggghhhhhhh!!!
Front end of the 323 is jacked up and on stands in my garage. I went to pull out of the garage and there was gobs of oil I mean GOBS on the ground. I'm going to go out and see if I can pin point it right now.

Back of the oil pan and area near the torque converter are all covered in a thin bit of oil. The drip is coming from the back of the engine (I'm assuming since currently there is no drip). Could the oil pan gasket have failed?
Bed time. I'm going to check back in the morning.

Is it oil or tranny fluid? How low is your oil? Jeez, I hope it's not your rear main engine seal or your tranny's input shaft seal
You're selling that thing anyway right? Dump some Bar's Leaks Engine Oil Stop Leak, it'll hold till after the sale

yep, thas what i was gonna say, it may be the main engine seal, the one between the tranny and the engine... just another thing, is it only leaking b/c you jacked the front up?

Haha! Your terrible, I'm just about to get up and start the engine to see if I can get it to leak. There was a minimal amount of oil loss since I cut the engine the second I saw the puddle and pushed it back into the garage. And I'm positive its engine oil, there was not any unusual smoke from the exhaust or engine so I not burning it that just means that there is a busted seal some where, or a crack... . In the time the engine was running when I backed out based on the amount of oil on the garage floor it was almost like it was pumping it out (I believe the term I used was Hemroging motor oil)

No heres how it went down. My girlfriend, a mutual friend of ours and I get into the car. I start the engine and back out of the garage going slowly since our mutual friend was parked behind the garage and I was avoiding his car. I'm backing out and I see several shallow dark pools. I kill the engine and mutual friend and I push the car back into the garage. The pools where motor oil. THEN I put the front on stands last night before going to bed (Yes. I chocked the back wheels.) I took a quick look under and its near the transmission which is why the seal between the tranny and the engine is a good guess. It's NOT leaking now. I'm going to start the engine where I'm assuming the leak with start up again and I'll pin point it.

My oil pan gasket is shot. I'm going to have to put a new one in. I'll put some new hoses in there while I'm at it. And thermostat housing.
Anyone know a good place to buy an oil pan gasket?
edit: Never mind found one!

Oil pan gasket shouldnt be hard to replace. This is a much better situation thatn if it had been the main engine seal.

Well see after this summer. I'm so busy with school right now the cars at a shop. I don't have time to drop the freakin' tranny and I need my car (I'm driving my sister's truck right now since I was home when the seals went, as you can imagine she's furious)
