Drifting
Well I tried drifting/sliding on the 328i auto today and it was really exciting (My first time drifting). I didn't know it was possible to drift on an auto lol. Well anyways, I think Im getting addicted to it... But ugh does it really shorten the life of my tires?
very hard on tires. and bushings..basically the whole car.
But yes its fun.
watch those drifts..dont start out to big, it might seem easy at first but from what i have experienced it gets messy real fast and easy.
gl sir

Yea goto an open place where you won't endanger anyone. Yes it will eat tires. If you like it you might want to consider going to the racetrack and doing some drivers schools the BMWCCA does schools and they are well done and teach you how to drive your car at the limit on the track and are a BLAST!
I drift in the snow and ice cause it wont fuck up my tires. The only real problem is its easier to lose control. Plus even with an auto u can just grab the handbrake.
also, remember u can turn the DSC all the way off by holding it down even longer. your brake light will come out in yellow, but thats ok.

Hold the dsc for 7 seconds and it should be completely off.

countersteering a breeze with the small lock to lock ratio on the rack(as apposed to the old E30 318 rack[which is now a Z3 rack])
also there is a thread on another forum with a huge list of E46 tips and tricks..bunch of stuff i didnt know the car did. ill copy it later
