newbie question about angel eyes

Sorry for my first post being a new thread, but I haven't seen anything in a search that answers my question...

I'm in the middle of a project and I'm looking into the angel eyes kits that I think are for E36. I've never been able to hold them in my hands to measure, so I was wondering does anyone have the measurements for these rings?

I'm looking for inside and outside diameter, and length from end-to-end (I would say circumfrence but I don't think they make any that are complete circles, no?)

sorry for for the general noobness of my question...

Are you trying to make them yourself or do you wish to buy some? One of the sites sponsors is a lighting company and they could sell you some and they have very good customer support from what I understand.

Not a question often asked, and definitely never asked here :thumbup

ID= 11.5cm
OD= 13cm
As far as circumference, you can do the math, then measure your headlights to see how much is cut off the top of the ring.

Oh yea- welcome to UB.c :wave

Thanks guys

I didn't even think of making my own...maybe I'll look into that if the kit doesn't work out.

thanks for the kind welcome. Although I don't know how much I could contribute. I've always been interested in BMW ever since going to the headquarters/museum in Munich. Someday I'll get to picking one up...It's only a matter of time

oh I'm on it...

as for the nomad. It has an interesting history(to me and family at least). A long awaited restoration begins next month. I've put aside the others for now. It's a father-son project about 20 years overdue. It's also probably the easiest project I've had to tackle yet, so I'll be sure to take pictures along the way.
