My first car was an '84 camero z28 with a 283 small block chevy, edlebrock carb and Flowmaster exhaust that dumped in front of the rear wheels.
Then I had an '84 s10.....Then there was the '90 Talon, and oh yah, after that was the '97 civic, and then my bimmer came along, '95 325i in my signiture...and then I bought a '69 suburban, why, I don't know....then there is the 2004 Tacoma that my wife drives, but she said we bought it for me....and then there is my car...the '06 disiel Jetta..........Damn and I forgot to include the parts talon and camero, all in 22 short years. My wife says I have car issues. What do you guys think??

My first car was a 1987 Buick Regal, 2 door Coupe with the 2.8L engine. I washed that car every week. I drove the piss out of it. It was extremely reliable until the engine and tranny died in the same week. I parked it outside of my apartment for 6 months. Then one early morning, a young lad of 17 took his parents new 330i out without permission. He was hotrodding, it just started raining, lost control of his car and hit my parked buick. They totaled my already dead buick. I got an insurance check and then bought a 94 Isuzu Rodeo. I drove that until I traded it in for my current car. There was a time that my wife wouldn't drive in my Isuzu because she thought we would die.
The first car that I owned was a 91 Subaru Legacy RS. Bought it at an auction in a "stolen and recovered" condition. Had ~200hp stock and by the time I sold it it was ~280. 3" exhaust, bigger turbo, fully programmable ECU...
Being AWD I drove faster in the rain (neutral handling) than when dry (understeer). For sheer performance gains you just can't beat a factory turbo car
The 318i is my first car under 150hp. I guess it all pays off with the fuel economy though!

Great story
My first car was a 1993 Mitsubishi Mirage S coupe 1.5 with a 5-speed manual. I just sold it about three weeks ago. Gosh, I loved that car -- no power steering, no power anything else, no sunroof. Really light. Gvae me some troubles while in college, but was a very dependable backup once I bought my BMW.
I am seriously considering buying it back from the friend to whom I sold it once she gets a job and money for a newer car.

I have a friend like that, too. He's 22 and has owned 13 cars, lol. Now he has a Slowfire, cause all his money is in his SV1000. His first car was an e30, though!
