Painted rotors!!!
Okay, I broke down and painted my rotors black. I was tired of seeing rust on my brand new rotors, so here goes.
This is what they looked like Day 1: http://www.blinkfile.com/1874/IMGP2134.jpg And this morning: http://www.blinkfile.com/1887/DSCF0100.jpg And this afternoon: http://www.blinkfile.com/1889/DSCF0114.jpg http://www.blinkfile.com/1890/DSCF0115.jpg I should probably do the back rotors now... but I'm cold. |
cool

Umm I'm I the only one that can't see the pics.? I'll just trust that its cool
|

Looks good though. |

Shit yeah now I can see them. Good looking, I just got new pads and rotors, I might think about doing that.

I can. That's really all that matters. ;) |
Should've done stainless brake lines while you were there...:doh (I know should've, could've, would've...)
|
^^^Yeah, I would have, but they're hella expensive.
|
what kind of paint did you use. i used red engine block spray paint and it was pretty messy.
|
thats a small detail that is normally overlooked, well done. your gonna have to do it again when u upgrade those brakes! i have zimmermann cross drilled rotors and EBC greenstuff pads all around and they work great, not very pricey either
|
^^^215, I just did. Three months ago.

Have u seen brake caliper covers made from ceramics? there an auto shop here that sells these that u put over your stock calipers. Comes in red and black. the funny thing is that they have the 'brembo' logo on them so it fools any1 looking at them to think that your are using brembo calipers. it saves you to paint the calipers and does help to keep brake dust to a minimum.
|
Yeah, BavAuto sells them, they are around $315 for one set (front or rear). Paint? $15.
