Need Help!
I dont know what happened, but my car started idling really funny really low, and when I tried to give it gas to move the car it wouldn't go really at all and would backfire occassionally.
And also my trac ctrl light came on, and I couldn't turn it off. I had to get new swaybar mounts welded in yesterday, but I called the place and they said they disconnected the ecu, and battery. So I didnt know if something on the ecu could have fried? It was a reputable BMW place with factory trained BMW mechanics, called Bimmerworks in West Chester.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I had to park my car at the place I went for lunch.

I got it towed home about an hr ago, I think it is a really clogged fuel filter. If it was the pump going completely, I dont think that the car would start, but for starters I will replace the fuel filter tomorrow.
Ill keep everyone updated. Thanks for the suggestions so far.
You might want to change your plugs if you were pumping on the gas and not getting a good fire. I had my 95 325i idle really rough and low and it was because not all cylinders were fireing on start. It would only happen after I started and shut it off right away, essentially flooding it. After that I would have to dry my plugs to get it to start again.

It might be james, because I started it up yesterday and drove it around the neighborhood for a few mins, and it was completely normal..
I just want to be certain it is, so I dont drive somewhere else and have it break down. I was lucky that it messed up somewhere near my house in a parking lot, and some friends were with me at the time.
