mercedes alloys on a bmw?
 

hello i have a question do you think any mercedes benz alloys/amg alloys would look good on an e36 coupe?

replicas without the mercedes badge sign?

Well its more that ud have to find the right bolt pattern. The E36 is a 5 x 120 with a 40mm offset. Some Mercedes rims might look good depending on the the car.

eh who knows. I've seen M3 Wheels put on a v6 'stang. Those didn't look so good.

Yeah I know my buddy has a 93 benz and his is a 5 x 112, not sure about the offset though

I personally love the CLK DTM rims as well the the ones found on the SL65 AMG. Although those rims from Mercedes are worth about $2000US each.But dont worry replicas are alot cheaper.

Mixing the Stuttgart with the Munchen? I think no.

There are a lot of nice replicas that will fit your BMW I would just take a while to look around. They aren't Mercedes, but I mean there has to be some that look fairly similar.

Let me just remind you that....BMW wheels are probably just for BMWs. I mean, they look good on BMWs and probably ride better on BMWs.

Yes, people do like BMWs so much that they want their car to be like a BMW, even though it isn't a BMW. This is true with Mercedes owners. But not only Mercedes, but Hondas, Acuras, Nissans, etc. I mean, they want the ride and the look of a BMW, but they just don't see themselves owning or buying an acutal BMW.

This goes the same for Mercedes and any other car manufacturer. If you are going to own a Porsche, why in the world would you want to stick Ferrari wheels on it. :uhoh

I mean, it doesn't add up. I think you should stick to whatever you own. Within your model and make you have a lot of variety.

For your e36 3-series, for instance. Everybody, including BMW owners want their car to like an //M car. So they stick M stuff all over it. You could put e36 M3 Contours (which I love :tup).....or you could stick BMW competition M3 wheels on them, or competition Performance Package 330i wheels. Yes!

You just have to find out what you like the best. But, please, don't mix and match manufaturers wheels....that just doesn't add up.

Agreed... to mix and match makes is ludacris, nearly sacrilege. At most I would say to get some aftermarket alloys that are neither BMW nor Mercedes (and doesn't look anything near another make aside from BMW - which at that point you may as well just get the actual Bimmer rims.)

hey shying away from the merc alloy idea, just wondering if BMW ever made the M3 motorsport alloys bigger than 17" and in anydifferent styles for example polished/chrome?

you could buy some e46 m3 replicas in 18" I bet those would look good. Or you could buy other replicas in 18" that look like other popular aftermarket companies that tend to be on a lot of BMW's. ACS, BBS, etc.

Yeah, the brand new cars have options for 19". But, if you're short on cash, as in about $4000, I wouldn't go for those.

Besides, performance upgrades, i.e. Bilstein Sports and some Brembos are worth every penny.
