Car Shaking REALLY bad

I was driving my car home tonight, like normal, until all of a sudden i stop, and I notice it Shaking Really bad, and it had lost alot of power. like seriously the car was shaking horribly. and I parked in my House, checked the engine, coolant, oil levels, nothing leaking no smoking. but it was just shaking severely. I turned it off started it back up same thing. I recently had spark plugs changed. so.....could one of the plugs have gone out. no check engine lights came on?

and inside the cabin it reaked of sulfer really bad.?

any ideas?

plz tell me nothing serious like i blew a piston up or something huge with the engine

If a spark plug isn't firing, the fuel mixture would go through and burn in the exhaust, mostly in the hottest part- the cat converter. I think that would make the sulfur smell.

the car lost ALOT of power when this happened.
if it was the spark plug (since it just recently got changed) would this permantly damage my engine PLZ tell me no

and the sulfer smell was REALLY bad

AFAIK it shouldn't do any hard damage, but clearly needs to be fixed before runnng it again, but I really don't know about this kind of thing sorry :dunno

well yea it wont do any permananet damage to ur engine unless you drive it for like 1000 miles the way it is, i would take out hte plugs and check them and see

Mercenary(FH) 09-24-2006 12:00 AM

ok so as long as it gets fixed it wont do damage, hope thats all it is, i mean what else would make ur car shake like that? and can a misfiring spark plug or a spark plug acting funny make ur whole car shake and cause sulpher smell?

xsperf 09-24-2006 12:10 AM

is your car stickshift? what happens when you rev it, it shakes more or stops?

Mercenary(FH) 09-24-2006 12:21 AM

It's an Auto, i mean it shakes worst at idle, but feels like there is no power when i try to rev it, but the shaking is less noticeable (but im sure it's there) i mean it drives......but like i saifd shaking, and low power

I have no idea what the could be... man you have the craziest stuff with your car.

Mercenary(FH) 09-24-2006 08:35 PM

beem 09-24-2006 08:44 PM

um.. blown head gasket?? maybe??

Mercenary(FH) 09-24-2006 11:52 PM

if i blew my head gasket.....my coolant would be gone and oil but like I said ^^^ they are fine. so thats doubtfully it

Mercenary(FH) 09-25-2006 03:57 PM

ended up being one of my ignition coils is bad? that wont damage the engine right?

and why are coils SO EXPENSIVE!

RSF5 09-25-2006 04:06 PM
