So theirs like clear coat i think peeling off the roof of my car, it's not bad, but it's in spots. and I was curious how much yall would think it would cost to get the car recoated in clear coat?

Our E39 rims (and most likely some engine cover thingys (near oil etc) are being stripped down to bare metal and recoated etc... I posted pics awhile back the paint looks like its literally boiling from heat etc...(It looks like the sensor\etc for the cold air is blocking airflow to some degree...

If its peeling in little spots and not like huge sections of the car, then have just those sections re-done. Its alot cheaper to do sections of it and they can do just as good of a job (if u get a good shop) as if u did the whole thing. So you have to decide if its worth it to re-do the whole car. Then when u decide that, go find a good body shop who you trust to do the work.

OMG THEY QUOTED ME LIKE 900 DOLLARS, cause they have to strip all the way down to the metal.....why would U need to do that for clear coat. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh

They shouldnt have to strip it down to the metal. If its just the clear coat thats fuked they can remove it and replace it without doing anything to the paint. I say go to a diff shop.

Little sections vary price wise by the amount of work they have to do.shouldnt be to much per section but a fair bit overall
