Cigarette lighter outlet

Hey all, just got a '94 325 and I always listen to my iPod in my car. Thing is, the car charger for my ipod doesn't seem to fit in the cigarette lighter outlet. Is there an adapter or anything for this? Or is it possible to make it work?

Just jam it in there.

But Seriously it it some china brand or an actual Apple Ipod charger.
If you want to have it wired into your radio bavsound.com has a kit.

Doesn't really matter what brand it is, does it? The connection is still the same... No, I don't want it wired to the radio, at least not yet. I just want to be able to charge the iPod without taking out of my car.

I already have a Belkin car charger, it just doesnt fit in the BMW cigarette lighter outlet. My question is, is there an adapter for this or any way to make it work?

I know that the BMW lighter socket is slightly wider than an american lighter socket. I have an aftermarket lighter (oh yeah.. it's a chrome skull, lol) that I've had for years and it wont fit in the Bimmer.

Weird....

Yeah, that's exactly my problem. The outlet in the bimmer is also too shallow to let the charger go all the way into it.

I have been using this charger in my old car for a good while. It also works in our other car, however neither of my parent's cars are BMW's.

upon reading this thread again, i think i know what your talking about.

the adapter is loose right? its like that with my phone charger and my E30.

heres what happened with me: one of the chargers from a previous phone came with a cheap plastic sleeve that fits around the adapter, it fills it out enough so that it fits without wobbling.

its just a cheap piece of plastic. if this is what is happening then let me know, and i will take pics of this sleeve.
