E36General discussion and technical help for (E36) 1992-1999 3 series cars. 318, 323, 325, 328.
I recently found out that i have a HUGE hole in my stock muffler not sure whether to be made or happy b/c now i finally have an excuse to go aftermarket
But this also brings up a problem. Im leaning towards the UUC U exhaust because everyone seems to rave about it, but does anyone feel there is a better brand to go with??
Oh ya also, where could i go to order these systems?
Thanks a bunch for the help!

You should check out active autowerke exhaust---its sounds amazing when you're punching it, but the only downside is that it is a little loud sometimes when you dont want it to be (2am ) even at low rpms.

from what I have heard, stromung does a great job of sounding just a little deeper than stock when idling and at low RPM, but when you punch it, it roars.
I have the UUC TSE, and I love it, but I think it might be a little too loud for some.

I've heard many good things about UUC, Remus, Stromung, Supersprint, and active autowerke. I suggest looking on ebay. there's plenty options there, you just have to find them!

Peak Horsepower Gain: See Below

Dinan's Free Flow Exhaust for the 3 series models provides increased flow for power gains without the excessive noise associated with typical "performance" mufflers. The Dinan exhausts feature rigid and durable muffler cases manufactured from 20 gauge 304-stainless steel for optimum corrosion resistance. Internally, the systems feature Dinan's Tuned Resonance Chamber technology which provides the optimum balance between maximum power gains and a civilized, yet sporty exhaust note. The Dinan exhaust also provides substantial weight reduction. Dual 2.25 inch diameter polished stainless steel exhaust tips give the cars a tasteful performance look as well.

Peak Torque Gain 13 lb/ft @ 4500 rpm
1993-95 Production

If you are thinking of spending $800, you might as well wait and fork out anther $200 for a better exaust set up.

Sorry I know that on the older cars like e30s that the Dinan exhaust is basically a de-baffled stock unit with a Dinan tip, IMO its not worth the extra cash for that. I don't know if thats the case with a lot of their products or not but its not the route I would probably go.
P.s. I almost had one which would have gotten me to my 10 points, so I like the Dinan products but I have trouble justifying thier exhuast when there are better alternatives.

i have the same exhaust as spielhur. i love the uuc TSE. however, it is not in production anymore. The system U is very loud from what people on here have said. Rooz had the RSC36 from UUC, which replaced the Twin silencer exhaust. UUC makes the lightest systems which is another reason why i bought it.
